Minimum Weight Certificate for weighing system

WHAT IS MINIMUM WEIGHT?

Within any quality management system, all measurements made with a weighing system must meet specified accuracy limits.

To meet this requirement, it is necessary to know the minimum weight value, or minimum weighing capacity.

The minimum weight or minimum weighing capacity represents the smallest amount of mass or sample of a material that can be measured by the balance with appropriate accuracy and reliability.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO CALCULATE THE MINIMUM WEIGHT?

Calculating the minimum weight is important to ensure the accuracy of measurements taken with the weighing system used in every production process, both in the laboratory and in industry.

THE MINIMUM WEIGHT CERTIFICATE

Through the Minimum Weighing Certificate or Minimum Weight Certificate, it is possible to know the weight threshold below which the weighing system used is unable to guarantee measurement accuracy.

The Minimum Weight Certificate is provided as an option to a Calibration Certificate or to the measurement taken for the EC conformity verification of the weighing instrument (Directive 31/2014).
